In November 2010, Roskam traveled to Korea to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the end of the Korean War. He was joined by his mother, Martha, and father Swede, a Korean War veteran. They attended President Obama's speech to troops at Yongsan Garrison and ceremonies at the Demilitarized Zone while in Korea.
