Roskam statement on relocating of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem
Washington, D.C. — Today, Representative Peter Roskam (IL-06), co-chair of the House Republican Israel Caucus, released the following statement on the U.S. officially relocating the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, the capital of Israel:
“Today's opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is a historic moment for the United States, for Israel, and for the Jewish People. For over 3,000 years, Jerusalem has been the eternal capital of the Jewish people and beginning today, after 70 years since the reestablishment of the Jewish State and 51 years since the reunification of Jerusalem, the U.S Embassy will be officially located in this holy city. This move marks an important milestone in the U.S.-Israel relationship and is a testament to the unbreakable bond between our two countries."
