Roskam announces launch of podcast – Stories from the Sixth

West Chicago, IL — Representative Peter Roskam (R-IL) is announcing the launch of a new podcast – Stories from the Sixth. The podcast will focus on accounts of Sixth District residents and beyond and will highlight stories of businesses, entrepreneurs, faith communities and community initiatives, and Rep. Roskam’s work in these cases. Stories from the Sixth is live beginning June 6, 2018, with the pilot episode featuring real-life stories of farmers an d business owners victimized by the IRS’ abuse of civil asset forfeitures (CAF) and the bipartisan efforts to change the way the IRS applies CAF.

“It’s my pleasure to announce this platform where we can hear directly from people on issues ranging from IRS overreach to how different ethnic and religious groups are thriving in the district,” said Roskam. “Every episode of this podcast will highlight a compelling story – a celebration of the diverse cultures that permeate our district, a revelation of government overreach or the story of an immigrant longing to become an American citizen.”
