PHOTO RELEASE: Roskam Hosts Chicagoland Job Fair

Bloomingdale, IL – Today, Congressman Peter Roskam (IL-06) along with Reps. Bob Dold (IL-10), Randy Hultgren (IL-14) and Joe Walsh (IL-08) hosted the Chicagoland Job Fair at Medinah Banquets in Addison, IL. 

Over 100 employers from across industry groups set up information tables throughout the hall.  As many as 1,700 area residents participated in the job fair, which offered free workshops on interviewing skills, job search best practices and how to effectively use social media when looking for employment. 

“Too many Illinoisans are out of work and struggling to make ends meet in this tough economy,” said Roskam.  “Getting people back to work and creating an environment for job growth is my main focus both in Washington and back home in Chicagoland.  I’m thrilled today’s job fair was so well attended and hope that folks were able to make connections and find good jobs.”
