Roskam, Hultgren to Host Service Academy Day April 22
St. Charles, IL — U.S. Representatives Peter J. Roskam and Randy Hultgren will host a Service Academy Day on Saturday, April 22, from 9:00am to 12:00pm at St. Charles East High School in St. Charles, Illinois.
Students, parents, teachers, school officials, and other interested parties are invited to learn more about the United States Air Force (USAFA), Navy (USNA), Army (USMA), Merchant Marine (USMMA), and Coast Guard (USCGA) academies. Service academy representatives and Congressional staff will be on hand to discuss the nomination process and answer questions.
Rep. Roskam released the following statement:
“This is an opportunity for students considering a career of military service to learn about the host of possibilities available to them. Attending one of our nation’s service academies following high school graduation is a prestigious commitment of service and sacrifice to our country. My office is prepared to help guide students and their families through each step of the nomination process, and I look forward to helping those individuals interested in attending a service academy realize their potential and achieve their goals.”
Rep. Hultgren released the following statement:
“It is a distinct honor when our students are selected to our nation’s top service academies, and I’ve been thrilled a number of our community’s students have been chosen in past years. If a student desires to pursue this distinguished education and career, it is important they start the process early in their middle and high school careers. Service Academy Day provides interested families with essential information as they consider serving our country through military service.”
