Washington, D.C. — U.S. Representative Peter J. Roskam released the following statement after the U.S. Department of Treasury sanctioned an additional 25 entities for terror-related and ballistic missile activities:

“It’s refreshing to see a White House willing to stand up to the Islamic Republic’s illicit activities and belligerent behavior. Today’s sanctions, related to Iran’s support for terrorism and illegal ballistic missile program, should make it clear to the Mullahs they must act like a responsible member of the community of nations if they want to be treated like one. Now is not the time for companies to expand business with the Iranian Regime.”

On Wednesday, Rep. Roskam introduced legislation to authorize new non-nuclear sanctions.
